Nicholson Plastics was established in 1968 as a family business in the town of Lanark, Scotland. Lanark is a small town in the centre of Scotland, in the county town of Lanarkshire. It is situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh with frequent rail and bus services to the major cities. The company currently employs people across all disciplines from sales and admin to general operatives who manage the manufacture of all of our GRP products. Today, the company operates from Lanark and Croydon, supplying water tanks to UK and internally through our export division.

Trainee Regional Aftersales Co-Ordinator

Trainee Regional Aftersales Co-Ordinator

Location: Lanark, ML11 9JS

The Role

The Trainee Regional Aftersales Co-Ordinator will be expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment carrying out all administrative duties as required to support the office, this primarily involves processing customer orders. The role requires you to be pro-active, fast-paced and be able to handle multiple enquiries at any one time.


  • Acknowledging and processing customer orders on to the Company system (company & group IFS enterprise resource and planning system);
  • Acknowledging and processing customer orders on to the Company system (ITrak);
  • Responding to customer enquiries both via email and on the phone;
  • Ordering cold water storage tanks from our suppliers:
  • Responsible for arranging the collection & delivery of cold water storage tanks and any ancillaries from our yard and suppliers;
  • Responsible for ensuring completed deliveries have delivery notes put through.
  • Working with the Aftersales team to ensure deliveries are in-line with the installation schedule.
  • Working with the drawings team to send out completed drawings to customers & chase these, when required.
  • Actioning the completion certificates for all completed jobs;
  • Collating Operating and Maintenance manuals for issue to clients;
  • Working with the Production Manager to complete the production schedule.
  • General administration duties, including; data input, responding to emails, filing etc.
  • Assisting the Regional Aftersales Supervisor with daily tasks;
  • Providing cover for the Aftersales department as and when required;
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management team, to ensure the needs of the business are met.
