Garden Centre Irrigation Tank Installation
On the 18th of May 2021, a 154 acre garden centre in Salford, Greater Manchester was opened. This is the largest horticultural project undertaken in Europe since 2017. The strategic location of the development will give access to over 7 million people living within an hours commute time to the Garden giving them the chance to access world class horticultural inspiration and expertise at the first ever RHS Garden located in an urban area.
The new development will feature cutting edge designs by RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal Winners, in addition to numerous dedicated community spaces for people to enjoy. RHS Garden will no doubt be a beacon of garden inspiration and education within this sector in the North West.
A quarter of a million plants have reportedly been planted ahead of the opening date in May. Time to take a visit!
Our Clients Water Storage Requirements
154-acre garden in Salford Greater Manchester required an Irrigation tank to be supplied to the volume of 100,000 litres of storage capacity.
GRP Water Storage Tank Solution
Our team won the project to manufacture deliver and install a 100,000 litre nominal capacity cold water storage tank for the purpose of irrigation at the garden centre in Manchester.
Irrigation tanks are primarily used as a reservoir for the storage of water. Our client required the large scare water reserve for water supply throughout the 154 acre development.
Our team manufactured the externally flanged hot press panels and completed the installation on site within the timescale of the project. The completed water tank was two meters high, which fitted the area height requirements, it was fitted with a ball valve housing, external and internal ladder, lid supports, and was erected on a flat level base.
Our mission: To help you find the most cost-effective solution for your water storage requirements.
